PCBS | The Cabinet Commends the Efforts Made by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) in Implementing the Census 2017

 The Cabinet Commends the Efforts Made by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) in Implementing the Population, Housing and Establishments Census 2017 in State of Palestine as well as the First Ever Census of the Palestinian Refugees in the Palestinian Refugee Camps and Gatherings in Lebanon

Ramallah –24/04/2018 – H.E. Ms. Ola Awad, President of PCBS, presented to the Cabinet the preliminary results of the Population, Housing and Establishments Census 2017 in State of Palestine, as well as the results of the first ever census of the Palestinian refugees in the Palestinian refugee camps and gatherings in Lebanon, where Ms. Awad highlighted the most vital and important results of both censuses. Afterwards, Ms. Awad answered all enquiries and questions raised by the Cabinet members covering all relevant aspects.
    
The Cabinet commended PCBS and its staff for their perseverance and their distinguished efforts in implementing the two censuses, and stressed on the fact that the data of the two censuses will be utilized by the Cabinet and all official parties in setting up future development plans, programs and interventions towards achieving the Cabinet's vision "Citizen First", as well as continuing the process of building and development to ensure provision of the best services to the Palestinian people in all aspects of life.

The Cabinet considered the implementation of the Population, Housing and Establishments Census 2017 in State of Palestine an important event for the Palestinian people and its implementation by PCBS for the third time in light of the exceptional situations we are experiencing under occupation shows by all means that the Palestinian institutions are capable of taking responsibility of building and developing our independent State of Palestine and its capital, Jerusalem.
