Decrease in the Consumer Price Index  during November,11/2016

 

 

Slight Decrease in the CPI during November 2016

The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine during November 2016 slightly decreased by 0.09% compared with October 2016 (by 0.12% in the West Bank**, and by 0.10% in Jerusalem J1*, while it increased by 0.26% in Gaza Strip).

 

The change in CPI in Palestine for November 2016 is traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The CPI during November 2016 decreased by 1.15% compared with November 2015 (by 1.68% in Gaza Strip, by 1.18% in the West Bank**, and with a slight decrease by 0.06% in Jerusalem J1*).

The CPI during the first eleven months of 2016 decreased by 0.14% compared with the same period of the previous year (by 1.09% in Jerusalem J1*, by 0.73% in Gaza Strip, and with a slight decrease by 0.02% in the West Bank**).
