Increase in the Consumer Price Index  during December,12/2016

 

The overall CPI for Palestine during December 2016 increased by 0.28% compared with November 2016 (by 0.37% in the West Bank**, and by 0.37% in Gaza Strip, while it decreased by 0.13% in Jerusalem J1*).

 

The change in CPI in Palestine for December 2016 is traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The CPI during December 2016 decreased by 1.05% compared with December 2015 (by 2.00% in Gaza Strip, and by 0.71% in the West Bank**, while it increased by 0.42% in Jerusalem J1*).

The CPI during 2016 decreased by 0.22% compared with 2015 (by 0.96% in Jerusalem J1*, by 0.84% in Gaza Strip, and slightly decreased by 0.08% the West Bank**).
