Palestinian Consumer Price Index (CPI) during July, 07/2018

Slight Increase in the CPI during July 2018

The overall CPI for Palestine during July 2018 slightly increased by 0.04% compared with June 2018 (by 0.45% in Gaza Strip, by 0.16% in Jerusalem J1*, and with a slight increase by 0.02%  in the West Bank**).

The changes in Palestinian CPI for July 2018 is traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The Palestinian CPI during July 2018 increased by 1.21% compared with July 2017 (by 1.95% in the West Bank**, by 1.88% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 0.23% in Gaza Strip).

The Palestinian CPI during the first seven months of 2018 decreased by 0.48% compared with the same period of the previous year (by 1.48% in Gaza Strip, and with a slight decrease by 0.02% in the West Bank**, while it increased by 0.62% in Jerusalem J1*).
