The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics PCBS is pleased to release the main findings of the Economic Survey Series for the year 2004. As in the previous rounds, this release covers the main economic activities practiced in the Palestinian Territory, including; Industry, Constructions, Internal trade, Transport and Communications, and Services activities. It should be mentioned that this release represents the main finding of the surveys for the Remaining West Bank and Gaza Strip, Excluding that parts of Jerusalem governorate which was annexed after the Israeli occupation in 1967.
1.1 Objectives
The objectives of the survey were to obtain data on:
1. Number of enterprises and persons engaged in economic activities by activity.
2. Value of output, intermediate consumption.
3. Value added components.
4. Payments and transfers.
5. Assets and capital formation.
6. Contribution of the surveyed activities to the GDP and other national accounts variables. |
