The FSS questionnaire was designed depending on the recommendations of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), also benefiting from the international experience in field of design the FSS questionnaires, where a technical mission was received during the period 18-23/09/2004 to assist in the questionnaire design, in addition, the FSS pilot was conducted during the period 29/01- 03/02/2005 to check the project documents including the questionnaire, in which the questionnaire was changed and developed to suit the agricultural sector in the Palestinian Territory.
The questionnaire for the Farm Structure Survey 2004/2005 consists of eleven sections as follows:
1. First section: the identification data of the agricultural holder and the agricultural holding.
2. Second section: the demographic properties of the agricultural holders, concerning sex, age and other related indicators.
3. Third section: the agricultural holding, concerning the type, legal status, main purpose of production and other related indicators.
4. Fourth section: the land use, concerning the total area of the agricultural holding, area by type of crop, uncultivated area and other related indicators.
5. Fifth section: the agricultural crops, concerning the type, area and other related indicators.
6. Sixth section: the raising of livestock, poultry and beehives, concerning the type, number and other related indicators.
7. Seventh section: the agricultural employment, concerning the number, demographic properties of the employees and other related indicators.
8. Eighth section: the agricultural machines and equipments, concerning the type, number and other related indicators.
9. Ninth section: the agricultural buildings and establishments, concerning the type, number and other related indicators.
10. Tenth section: the supplementary activities in the agricultural holding, concerning type of the supplementary activity.
Eleventh section: the agricultural damages due to the Israeli measures, concerning the area, number and other related indicators. |
