This report identifies the activities that Palestinians engage in during their daily lives and provides data on average time use, job activities in both formal and non-formal sectors, paid and unpaid jobs, unpaid domestic services, unpaid care-giving services, community services, learning activities, social events in the community, attending cultural, recreational and sports activities, hobbies, games and other entertainment, internal and external sports and related activities, media use, personal care, and Israeli occupation measures and political activities. The report also covers data on participation in activities, the surrounding environment and venues and means of transportation used for activities.
We hope that this report will be a valuable source of information on time use by individuals of different age groups: children, women, youth and elders in Palestinian society during 2012/2013 and will assist decision and policy makers in drafting an overall national development process for Palestine. |
