More than 40% of schools in Palestine are exposed to noise very often and sometimes
The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine reached 102.01 in August 2016, as it decreased by 0.16% compared to July 2016.
Elderly People in Palestine represent 4.5% of the total population in mid 2016
Preliminary estimates at constant prices showed an increase of 3.9% in GDP in Palestine* during the 2nd quarter 2016 compared to the 2nd quarter 2015, (increase 3.3% in the West Bank* and increase 5.8% in Gaza Strip compared to the 2nd quarter 2015.
During the first half of 2016, around 2.07 million visits were made to tourist and leisure sites in the West Bank.
The primary results of the IIP (external assets – foreign liabilities) for Palestine at the end of second quarter 2016 revealed that the net IIP amounted to about USD 1,172 million, which means that the Palestinian economy’s investment outside Palestine outweighs investment in Palestine from abroad.
Exports decreased in July, 2016 by 13.8% compared to June, 2016.

 An incessant deficit in the Current Account which totaled USD 391.5 million marking an increase of 40.9% compared to the previous quarter. The deficit in the Current Account was mainly triggered by the deficit in the Trade Balance of Goods, which reached USD 1,300.4 million with an increase of 15.0% compared to the previous quarter.
The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine during August 2016 increased by 0.35% compared with July 2016.
In 2015, the illiteracy rate among persons 15 years and above in Palestine was 3.3% (93,843 illiterate)
During the second quarter 2016, 113,517 guests stayed in hotels in the West Bank.
The overall Quantity of Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine reached 98.52 during July 2016 with a decrease of 4.18% compared to the previous month
