The percentage of individuals aged 18 years and above who smoke one or more products of smoked tobacco (manufactured cigarettes, hand-rolled cigarettes, cigars, and water- pipes) in Palestine increased to about 31% of the total individuals aged 18 years and above in the year 2021, while this percentage was about 23% for 2010.
The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2019 = 100) reached 106.48 in April 2022, as it increased by 0.10% compared to March 2022.
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 120.38 with an increase of 0.67% during April 2022 compared with March 2022 (base year 2013=100).
Exports decreased in March, 2022 by 6% compared to February, 2022, Imports increased in March, 2022 by 21% compared to February, 2022.
The vast majority of individuals in Palestine own smartphones. Half of them are older persons.
The Palestinian population has doubled about 10 times since the Nakba in 1948
The overall Consumer Price Index CPI for Palestine during April 2022 recorded an increase by 1.08% compared with March 2022
The number of employed persons increased by 16 thousand in the 1st quarter of 2022
The overall IPI in Palestine reached 110.87 during March 2022 with an increase of 5.58% compared to February 2022 (Base Year 2019 = 100).
