Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at constant prices increased by 6% In Palestine during the 1st quarter 2022 compared to 1st quarter 2021
The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2019 = 100) reached 103.78 in May 2022, as it decreased by 2.54% compared to April 2022.
An incessant deficit in the Current Account (goods, services, income, current transfers) which totaled USD 623 million. Mainly triggered by the deficit of the Trade Balance of Goods, which reached USD 1,810 million, as well as the deficit in Services Balance, which amounted to USD 347 million.
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 120.44 with a slight increase of 0.05% during May 2022 compared with April 2022
Exports decreased in April, 2022 by 5% compared to March, 2022, Imports decreased in April, 2022 by 7% compared to March, 2022.
The primary results of the IIP (external assets – foreign liabilities) for Palestine at the end of the first quarter 2022 revealed that the net IIP amounted to USD 3,750 million, increased by 2% compared with previous quarter
Consumer price indicates an increase in the consumer price index in Palestine by 3.43%
A total of 3,271 building licenses were issued in the first quarter of 2022, of which 1,997 are new buildings.
According to the primary results of the recent agricultural census 2021, cultivated land of agricultural holdings is 1,138.5 million dunums; about 18.9% of the whole area of the State of Palestine.
The overall IPI in Palestine reached 98.63 during April 2022 which indicates a sharp decrease of 11.04% compared to March 2022 (Base Year 2019 = 100).
