The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2019 = 100) reached 103.38 in July 2022, as it increased by 0.33% compared to June 2022.
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings remained stable at the level of 119.39 in the West Bank* during July 2022 (Base year 2013=100).
Exports increased in June, 2022 by 12% compared to May, 2022, Imports decreased in June, 2022 by 3% compared to May, 2022.
The overall Consumer Price Index CPI for Palestine during July 2022 recorded a decrease by 0.37% compared with June 2022
The number of the employed youth in the informal sector in 2021 reached 155,000 employed persons, of whom 145,200 were males compared to 9,800 females. The percentage of the employed youth in this sector represents 29% of the total employed youth in Palestine.
The number of employed persons (excluding workers abroad) increased from about 1.108 million in the 1st quarter of 2022 to about 1.114 million in the 2nd quarter of 2022, by 0.5%.

The Council of Ministers on its weekly session (Monday 22/8/2022):  Expressed its confidence and trust in the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), Extended its gratitude and appreciation to PCBS staff for their commendable efforts.

The overall IPI in Palestine reached 118.57 during June 2022 which indicates a sharp increase of 11.39% compared to May 2022 (Base Year 2019 = 100).
