The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2019 = 100) reached 107.55 in July 2023, as it increased by 0.58% compared to June 2023.
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 120.10 with a slight increase of 0.05% during July 2023 compared with June 2023 (base year 2013=100).
Exports decreased in June, 2023 by 8% compared to May, 2023. Imports decreased in June, 2023 by 6% compared to May, 2023.
The overall Consumer Price Index CPI for Palestine during July 2023 recorded an increase by 0.14% compared with June 2023 (0.16% in Gaza Strip, 0.14% in the West Bank**, and with a slight increase by 0.06% in Jerusalem J1*).
The percentage of the youth (18-29 years) in Palestine was about 22% (1.19 million) of the total population in mid-2023 (22% in the West Bank and 21% in Gaza Strip). Whilst the sex ratio was 104 males per 100 females.
The number of employed persons (excluding workers abroad) increased from about 1.146 million in the 1st quarter of 2023 to about 1.151 million in the 2nd quarter of 2023, by 0.5%.
The overall IPI in Palestine reached 106.39 during June 2023 with a decrease of 3.62% compared to May 2023 (Base Year 2019 = 100).
