A sharp contraction in the gross domestic product in Gaza Strip during the fourth quarter of 2023 by more than 80%, accompanied by a rise in unemployment rates reaching 74%, and a sharp decline in the West Bank by 22%, with an unemployment rate of 29%, which led to a decline in the gross domestic product in Palestine during the fourth quarter 2023 by 33%.
The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2019 = 100) reached 114.27 in November 2023, as it decreased by 1.12% compared to October 2023.
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased at constant prices by 3% in Palestine during the 3rd quarter 2023 compared to 3rd quarter 2022
Production paralysis in the majority of establishments due to the Israeli occupation aggression on Gaza Strip that incurred the Palestinian private sector in production by 1.5 billion USD through two month of Israeli occupation Aggression
An incessant deficit in the Current Account (goods, services, income, current transfers) which totaled USD 530 million. Mainly triggered by the deficit of the Trade Balance of Goods, which reached USD 2,000 million, as well as the deficit in Services Balance, which amounted to USD 317 million.
