The number of unemployed persons increased to reach 317 thousand in the 4th of 2023 compared to about 129 thousand in the 3rd quarter of the same year, i.e. before the Israeli aggression. Also, unemployment rates among participants in the labour force in the West Bank increased to about 32% in the 4th quarter of 2023 compared to 13% in the 3rd quarter of the same year.
The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2019 = 100) reached 146.38 in March 2024,
 1.1 million Palestinians are in Rafah Governorate
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 120.63 with an increase of 0.11% during March 2024 compared with February 2024
Exports decreased in February, 2024 by 12% compared to February, 2023 and reached USD 120.4 Million, Imports decreased in February, 2024 by 24% compared to February, 2023 and reached USD 480.9 Million.
The overall Wholesale Price Index in Palestine during the First Quarter of 2024 recorded a sharp increase by 5.22% compared with the Fourth quarter of 2023
The overall Consumer Price Index CPI for Palestine during March 2024 recorded a sharp increase by 9.13% compared with February 2024
Since October 7th, the World Health Organization has documented over 600 attacks on healthcare facilities in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. These assaults have led to the closure of several hospitals and health centers.
The overall IPI in Palestine reached 80.47 during February 2024 with a sharp decrease of 20.52% compared to February 2023 (Base Year 2019 = 100).
Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip on October 7th, 2023, until the date of the issuance of this press release, there are more than 14,350 child martyrs, constituting 44% of the total number of martyrs in Gaza Strip. Additionally, women and children constituted 70% of the missing persons in Gaza Strip as a result of the Israeli aggression, totaling 7,000 individuals.
