As of October 7th, 2023, results of Labour Force Survey (LFS) in Gaza Strip during the aggression in the 4th quarter of 2024 showed that unemployment rates reached unprecedented levels of about 68% compared to about 45% in the 3rd quarter of 2023, unemployment rates among participants in the labour force in the West Bank increased to about 31% in 2024 compared to 18% in 2023.
The overall IPI in Palestine reached 80.73 during February 2025 with an increase of 1.86% compared to January 2025 (Base Year 2019 = 100).
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 121.72 with a slight decrease of 0.09% during March 2025 compared with February 2025 (base year 2013=100).
Exports increased in February, 2025 by 15% compared to February, 2024 and reached USD 138.1 Million, Imports increased in February, 2025 by 27% compared to February, 2024 and reached USD 609.3 Million.
The overall Wholesale Price Index in Palestine during the First Quarter of 2025 recorded a decrease by 1.01% compared with the Fourth Quarter of 2024. The decrease due to the decrease in imported products by 2.50%. While, local consumed products increased by 2.08%.
The consumer price index in Gaza Strip record a sharp increase of 40.58% compared to February 2025. Also, the CPI recorded an increase in the West Bank** by 1.06% and an increase by 0.52% in Jerusalem J1*.
Children constitute 43% of Palestine’s population, with Gaza Strip leading at 47%
The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2019 = 100) reached 158.90 in March 2025, as it sharply increased by 11.85% compared to February 2025.
