Poverty Percentage (Indicator): the share of the population whose income or consumption is below the poverty line, that is, the share of the population that cannot afford to buy a basic basket of goods. An analyst using several poverty lines, say one for poverty and one for extreme/deep poverty, can estimate the incidence of both poverty and extreme/deep poverty by Dividing the number of households living below the national poverty line by the total number of households within the surveyed community, multiplied by hundred. | ||||||||
