Consumer basic goods prices in Gaza Strip continued  to increase for the second consecutive month as a result of market instability in Gaza Strip

The overall Consumer Price Index CPI for Palestine during March 2026 recorded an increase by 5.27% compared with February 2026 (12.42% in Gaza Strip, by 0.75% in the West Bank**, and by 0.62% in Jerusalem J1*). 

The changes in Palestinian CPI during March 2026 were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The Palestinian CPI during March 2026 increased by 3.02% compared with March 2025 (5.01% in Gaza Strip, by 2.94% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 1.40% in the West Bank**).

The prices of goods and services collected in New Israeli Shekels (NIS). The monthly average exchange rate of the US Dollar during March 2026 is (3.12 NIS/$).
