Decrease in the consumer price index in Palestine during May 2026

The overall Consumer Price Index CPI for Palestine during May 2026 recorded a decrease by 0.40% compared with April 2026 (by 0.97% in the West Bank**, and by 0.32% in Jerusalem J1*. While, the index increased by 0.30% in Gaza Strip).

The changes in Palestinian CPI during May 2026 were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The Palestinian CPI during May 2026 decreased by 36.96% compared with May 2025 (59.96% in Gaza Strip. While, the index increased by 3.21% in Jerusalem J1*,and by 2.69% in the West Bank**).
