Construction Cost Index (CCI), Road Cost Index (RCI), Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) and Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank During December 2014 & 2014
The Construction Cost Index for Residential buildings in the West Bank reached 100.89 during 2014 with an increase of 0.89% (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Non-residential buildings in the West Bank reached 100.99 during 2014 with an increase of 0.99% (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Skeleton buildings in the West Bank reached 100.28 during 2014 with an increase of 0.28% (base year 2013=100).
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank reached 117.03 during 2014 with a slight increase of 0.04% compared to 2013 (Base month December 2008=100).
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) in the West Bank reached 112.02 during 2014 with an increase of 1.46% compared to 2013 (Base month January 2010=100).
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank reached 108.17 during 2014 with an increase of 0.97% compared to 2013 (Base month January 2010=100).

Slight increase in the Construction Cost Index for Residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Residential buildings reached 101.47 with a slight increase of 0.03% in the West Bank during December 2014 compared to November 2014 (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Residential buildings increased due to the increase in Labor wages by 0.20%, rental of equipments by 0.12%. While, the prices of raw materials decreased by 0.19% during December 2014 compared to previous month.
Increase in the Construction Cost Index for Non-residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Non-residential buildings reached 101.74 with an increase of 0.13% in the West Bank during December 2014 compared to November 2014 (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Non-residential buildings increased due to the increase in Labor wages by 0.20%, rental of equipments by 0.18%. While, the prices of raw materials slightly decreased by 0.02% during December 2014 compared to previous month.
Decrease in the Construction Cost Index for Skeleton Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Skeleton buildings reached 100.39 with a decrease of 0.11% in the West Bank during December 2014 compared to November 2014 (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Skeleton buildings decreased due to the decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.38%. While, it increased in Labor wages by 0.55%, and rental of equipments by 0.28% during December 2014 compared to previous month.
Slight increase in the Road Cost Index (RCI)
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 116.04 with a slight increase of 0.02% in the West Bank during December 2014 compared to November 2014 (base month December 2008=100).
The Road Cost Index for December 2014 increased due to the increase in Labor wages by 0.40%, rental of equipments by 0.18%. While, Operating costs of equipment & maintenance decreased by 0.80%, and the prices of raw materials slightly decreased by 0.05% during December 2014 compared to previous month.
Stability in the Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI)
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) in December 2014 was almost unchanged from November 2014 and remained around 112.20 in the West Bank (base month January 2010=100).
Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 108.78 with a decrease of 0.33%, and Water Networks Cost Index reached 113.75 with an increase of 0.14% during December 2014 compared to previous month.
Slight increase in the Sewage Networks Cost Index
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 108.08 with a slight increase of 0.07% in the West Bank during December 2014 compared to November 2014 (base month January 2010=100).
Note:
The data of the West Bank doesn’t cover those parts of Jerusalem which were annexed by Israel in 1967.

1. Gaza Strip data is not available.
2. The difference in the percentage change in major groups of road, construction, water networks, and sewage networks cost index is due to the nature compositions of these major groups.
