Palestinian Consumer Price Index, May, 05/2015
Decrease in the CPI during May 2015 compared with previous month
The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine during May 2015 decreased by 0.46% compared with April 2015 (by 0.69% in the West Bank, 0.17% in Gaza Strip, while it increased by 0.33% in Jerusalem J1*).
The CPI during May 2015 increased by 3.00% compared with May 2014 (by 5.12% in Gaza Strip, 1.82% in the West Bank, and by 0.95% in Jerusalem J1*).
The CPI during the first five months of 2015 increased by 1.47% compared with the same period of the previous year (by 2.58% in Gaza Strip, 0.38% in the West Bank, while it decreased by 0.13% in Jerusalem J1*).
The change in Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Palestine for May 2015 is traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:
