Preliminary Results of the Palestinian Registered* External Trade in Goods of
May,05/2015
Exports:
Exports increased in May, 2015 by 11.8% compared to April, 2015. It also increased by 11.4% compared to May, 2014 and reached USD 85.0 Million.
Exports to Israel increased in May, 2015 by 13.3% compared to April, 2015 and represented 87.5% of total exports in May, 2015.
On the other hand, exports to other countries increased by 2.3% during the same period compared to April, 2015.
Imports:
Imports decreased in May 2015 by 2.1% compared to April, 2015. It also decreased by 10.4% compared to May, 2014 and reached USD 411.2 Million.
Imports from Israel increased by 2.4% in May 2015 compared to April, 2015 and represented 57.6% of total imports in May 2015.
On the other hand, imports from other countries decreased by 7.6% compared to April, 2015.
Net Trade Balance on Registered Goods:
The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed a decrease in trade deficit by 5.2% in May 2015 compared to April, 2015. It also decreased by 14.8% compared to May 2014 and reached USD 326.2 Million.
