Palestinian Consumer Price Index, August, 2015/08
Increase in the CPI during August 2015 compared with previous month
The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine during August 2015 increased by 0.24% compared with July 2015 (by 0.76% in Gaza Strip, while it decreased by 0.37% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 0.02% in the West Bank).
The CPI during August 2015 increased by 0.42% compared with August 2014 (by 1.19% in the West Bank, 0.73% in Jerusalem J1*, while it decreased by 0.88% in Gaza Strip).
The CPI during the first eight months of 2015 increased by 1.39% compared with the same period of the previous year (by 1.77% in Gaza Strip, 0.86% in the West Bank, and by 0.34% in Jerusalem J1*).
The change in Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Palestine for August 2015 is traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:
