Slight Increase in Consumer Price Index the during March, 03/2016
The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine during March 2016 slightly increased by 0.05% compared with February 2016 (by 0.92% in Jerusalem J1*, while it decreased by 0.20% in Gaza Strip, and by 0.12% in the West Bank**).
The CPI during March 2016 increased by 0.32% compared with March 2015 (by 1.01% in the West Bank**, while it decreased by 1.41% in Gaza Strip, and by 1.35% in Jerusalem J1*).
The CPI during the first quarter of 2016 increased by 0.63% compared with the same period of the previous year (by 1.39% in the West Bank**, while it decreased by 1.38% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 0.19% in Gaza Strip).
The change in (CPI) in Palestine for March 2016 is traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:
