Slight Increase in the Consumer Price Index during July,07/2016
The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine during July 2016 slightly increased by 0.07% compared with June 2016 (by 1.04% in the West Bank**, and by 0.20% in Jerusalem J1*, while it decreased by 1.45% in Gaza Strip).
The CPI during July 2016 increased by 0.34% compared with July 2015 (by 0.35% in the West Bank**, while it decreased by 0.85% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 0.49% in Gaza Strip).
The CPI during the first Seven months of 2016 increased by 0.22% compared with the same period of the previous year (by 0.25% in the West Bank**, while it decreased by 1.52% in Jerusalem J1*, and slightly decreased by 0.09% in Gaza Strip).
The change in (CPI) in Palestine for July 2016 is traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:
