Palestinian Producer Price Index,
Increase in the Producer Price1 Index during September 2016
The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base month (December 2015=100) reached 102.78 in September 2016, as it increased by 0.76% compared to August 2016.
Producer Price Index for locally consumed products (December 2015=100) reached 103.02 in September 2016, which indicates an increase by 0.84% compared to August 2016.
Producer Price Index for local exported products (December 2015=100) reached 101.60 in September 2016, which indicates a slight increase by 0.02% compared to August 2016.
The changes of Producer Price Index for September 2016 were traced back to changes in prices of the following major activities compared to the previous month:

Note: Since the beginning of 2016, PCBS updated the base month for the Producer Price Index to be December 2015 instead of 2011, as well as started using International Standard of Industrial Classification for all Economic Activates (Revision Four) instead of Revision Three.
1 The producer’s price is the amount receivable by the producer from the purchaser for a unit of a good or service produced as output minus any VAT, or similar deductible tax, invoiced to the purchaser. The producer’s prices exclude any transport charges invoiced separately by the producer.
