Preliminary Results of the Palestinian Registered* External Trade
in Goods of February, 02/2017.
Exports:
Exports slightly decreased in February, 2017 by 0.3% compared to January, 2017. While It increased by 14.8% compared to February, 2016 and reached USD 79.2 Million.
Exports to Israel slightly decreased in February, 2017 by 0.9% compared to January, 2017 and represented 86.9% of total exports in February, 2017.
On the other hand, exports to other countries increased by 5.0% during the same period compared to January, 2017.
Imports:
Imports decreased in February, 2017 by 2.2% compared to January, 2017. While it increased by 9.5% compared to February, 2016 and reached USD 413.2 Million.
Imports from Israel increased by 18.5% in February, 2017 compared to January, 2017, and represented 57.3% of total imports in February, 2017.
On the other hand, imports from other countries decreased by 20.7% compared to January, 2017.
Net Trade Balance on Registered Goods:
The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed a decrease in trade deficit by 2.6% in February, 2017 compared to January, 2017. While it increased by 8.3% compared to February, 2016 and reached USD 334.0 Million.
