Slight decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 113.51 with a slight decrease of 0.07% during August 2021 compared with July 2021 (base year 2013=100).
At the level of major groups, the price of rental of equipment decreased by 0.46%, and raw material slightly decreased by 0.09%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during August 2021 compared with the previous month.
Slight decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Non-residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for non-residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 113.01 with a slight decrease by 0.09% during August 2021 compared with July 2021 (Base year 2013=100).
At the level of major groups, the price of rental of equipment decreased by 0.45%, and raw material decreased by 0.12%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during August 2021 compared with the previous month.
Decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Skeleton Buildings
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for skeleton buildings in the West Bank* reached 114.12 with a decrease of 0.38% during August 2021 compared with July 2021 (Base year 2013=100).
At the level of major groups, the prices of raw materials decreased by 0.56%, and rental of equipment decreased by 0.46%. At the same time, labour costs and wages remained stable during August 2021 compared with the previous month.
Slight increase in the Road Cost Index (RCI)
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank* reached 108.95 with a slight increase of 0.03% during August 2021 compared with July 2021 (Base month December 2008=100).
At the level of major groups, the price of operating cost of equipment and maintenance group increased by 1.99%, and rental of equipment increased by 0.33%. While raw materials decreased by 0.12%. At the same time, labour costs and wages group remained stable during August 2021 compared with the previous month.
Stability in the Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI)
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) in the West Bank* remained stable at the level of 122.86 during August 2021 compared with July 2021 (Base month January 2010=100).
Reservoirs Cost reached 116.53 with a decrease by 0.61% during August 2021 compared with July 2021, while Water Networks Cost Index reached 125.74 with an increase of 0.25% (Base year 2013=100).
Decrease in the Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI)
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank* reached 110.00 with a decrease of 0.22% during August 2021 compared with July 2021 (Base month January 2010=100).
Notice:
1. Due to COVID-19 pandemic and inability to conduct face-to-face interview, data for CCI, RCI, WNCI and SNCI has been collected using mobile phones.
2. Gaza Strip data is not available.
3. The difference in the percentage change in major groups of roads, construction, water networks, and sewage networks cost index is due to the nature compositions of these major groups.
