Decrease in the Producer[1] Price Index (PPI) during May, 05/2022
The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2019 = 100) reached 103.78 in May 2022, as it decreased by 2.54% compared to April 2022.
PPI for locally consumed products
Producer Price Index for locally consumed products (2019 = 100) reached 103.26 in May 2022, which indicates a decrease of 2.66% compared to April 2022.
PPI for local exported products
Producer Price Index for local exported products (2019 = 100) reached 108.70 in May 2022, which indicates a decrease of 1.42% compared to April 2022.
The changes of PPI for May 2022 were traced back to changes in prices of the following major activities compared to the previous month:
