 Sharp Increase in the Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine

during June, 06/2022

The overall IPI in Palestine reached 118.57 during June 2022 which indicates a sharp increase of 11.39% compared to May 2022  (Base Year    2019 = 100).

IPI for June 2022 increased due to the sharp increase in the activities of Manufacturing Industry by 13.09% which had a share of 87.89% of the total industry, and the activities of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply by 4.58% which had a share of 7.38% of the total industry. While, the activities of Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation sharply decreased by 12.98% which had a share of 1.84% of the total industry, and the activities of Mining and Quarrying decreased by 3.38% which had a share of 2.89% of the total industry.
