Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased at constant prices by 2% in Palestine during the 4th quarter 2022 compared to 4th quarter 2021, therefore the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 4% during
the year 2022 compared to the previous year.
Primary estimates for GDP at constant prices showed an increase of Gross Domestic Product in 2022 by 4% in Palestine compared to the previous year. And an increase by 3% in GDP during the 4th quarter 2022 compared to the previous quarter of the same year, mainly in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing by 19%, Wholesale and Retail Trade, Repair of Motor Vehicles and Motorcycles, Construction, Public Administration and Defense by 4% for each, Financial and Insurance Activities, Transportation and Storage by 2% for each, Information and Communication Activities by 1%. Meanwhile, there was a decrease in Services by 2%, Mining, Manufacturing, Electricity and Water, by 1%.
On the other hand, it showed an increase of 2% in Palestine during the 4th quarter 2022 compared to the 4th quarter 2021 at constant prices, which excludes the seasonal effect, meanwhile the base year is 2015. GDP for the 4th quarter 2022 at constant prices was USD 3,331 million for the West Bank and USD 690 million for Gaza Strip.
Increase Gross Domestic Product Per Capita
GDP per Capita for Palestine at constant prices was USD 788 during the 4th quarter 2022, it showed an increase of 2% compared to the 3rd quarter 2022. As for the West Bank it was USD 1,143 at constant prices during the 4th quarter 2022, it showed an increase by 2% compared to the 3rd quarter 2022, while for Gaza Strip it was USD 315 during the 4th quarter 2022, and it showed an increase by 3% compared to the 3rd quarter 2022.
