The Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine during 2023& December, 12/2023
The overall IPI in Palestine with its Base Year (2019 = 100) reached 99.81 in 2023, which indicates a sharp decrease by 8.01% compared to 2022.
IPI for 2023 sharply deceased due to the sharp decrease in the activities of Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation by 16.29%, and the activities of Manufacturing Industry by 8.91%. While, the activities of Mining and Quarrying increased by 3.74%, and the activities of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning Supply by 0.48%.

Increase in the Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine
during December, 12/2023
The overall IPI in Palestine reached 76.27 during December 2023 with an increase of 2.42% compared to November 2023 (Base Year 2019 = 100).
IPI for December 2023 sharply increased due to the sharp increase in the activities of Mining and Quarrying by 12.16%, which had a share of 2.89% of the total industry, the activities of Electricity, Gas, Steam and Air Conditioning S upply by 10.88% which had a share of 7.38% of the total industry, and the activities of Manufacturing Industry by 1.29% which had a share of 87.89% of the total industry. While, the activities of Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management and Remediation decreased by 5.85% which had a share of 1.84% of the total industry.
