Increase in the Producer Price1 Index during 2013
The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) in Palestine with its base year (2011=100) reached 103.45 in 2013, which indicates an increase by 0.89% compared to 2012.
Prices of Producer Price Index for 2013 increased due to the increase in the Fishing group by 15.57%, Manufacturing group by 1.52%, and Mining and quarrying by 0.65%, while the price of Agriculture goods decreased by 0.25%.
The price of locally consumed products increased by 0.94%, and the price of local exported products increased by 0.30%.
Increase in the PPI during December 2013
The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2011=100) reached 106.81 in December 2013, as it increased by 4.49% compared to November 2013.
Producer Price Index for locally consumed products (2011=100) reached 107.13 in December 2013, which indicates an increase by 4.95% compared to November 2013.
Producer Price Index for exported products (2011=100) reached 103.50 in December 2013, which indicates a decrease by 0.16% compared to November 2013.
