Palestinian Consumer Price Index, April, 04/2014
Decrease in the CPI during April 2014 compared with previous month
The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine during April 2014 decreased by 0.78% compared with March 2014 (decreased by 1.75% in Gaza Strip, by 0.37% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 0.36% in the West Bank).
The CPI during April 2014 increased by 1.87% compared with April 2013 (5.55% in Jerusalem J1*, by 2.78% in the West Bank, and by 0.65% in Gaza Strip).
The CPI during the first four months of 2014 increased by 2.11% compared with the same period of the previous year (5.08% in Jerusalem J1*, by 2.95% in the West Bank, and by 1.24% in Gaza Strip).
The change in Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Palestine for April 2014 is traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared to the previous month:
