Increase in the Construction Cost Index for Residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Residential buildings reached 100.71 with an increase of 0.17% in the West Bank during April 2014 compared to March 2014 (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Residential buildings increased due to the increase in the prices of equipment rental by 1.00%, and raw materials by 0.20%, while labor wages remained stable during April 2014 compared to previous month.
Increase in the Construction Cost Index for Non-residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Non-residential buildings reached 100.68 with an increase of 0.18% in the West Bank during April 2014 compared to March 2014 (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Non-residential buildings increased due to the increase in the prices of equipment rental by 0.82%, and raw materials by 0.23%, while labor wages remained stable during April 2014 compared to previous month.
Increase in the Construction Cost Index for Skeleton Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Skeleton buildings reached 100.52 with an increase of 0.10% in the West Bank during April 2014 compared to March 2014 (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Skeleton buildings increased due to the increase in the prices of equipment rental by 0.76%, and raw materials by 0.10%, while labor wages remained stable during April 2014 compared to previous month.
Decline in the Road Cost Index (RCI)
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 117.63 with a decrease of 0.10% in the West Bank during April 2014 compared to March 2014 (base month December 2008=100).
The Road Cost Index for April 2014 decreased due to the decrease in the operating costs of equipment & maintenance by 0.40%, and raw materials by 0.22%, while rental of equipments increased by 0.23%, and labor wages remained stable during April 2014 compared to previous month.
Increase in the Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI)
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 112.25 with an increase of 0.31% in the West Bank during April 2014 compared to March 2014 (base month January 2010=100).
Water Networks Cost Index reached 113.46 with an increase of 0.35%. Also, Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 109.59 with an increase of 0.23% during April 2014 compared to previous month.
Increase in the Sewage Networks Cost Index
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 108.44 with an increase of 0.19% in the West Bank during April 2014 compared to March 2014 (base month January 2010=100).
Note:
The data of the West Bank doesn’t cover those parts of Jerusalem which were annexed by Israel in 1967.
