Construction Cost Index (CCI), Road Cost Index (RCI), Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) and Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank during May, 05/2015
Slight Increase in the Construction Cost Index for Residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Residential buildings reached 100.64 with a slight increase of 0.02% in the West Bank during May 2015 compared to April 2015 (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Residential buildings increased due to the increase in rental of equipments by 0.51%, while the prices of raw materials slightly decreased by 0.01%. At the same time, Labor wages remained stable during May 2015 compared to previous month.
Slight Increase in the Construction Cost Index for Non-residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Non-residential buildings reached 100.81 with a slight increase of 0.05% in the West Bank during May 2015 compared to April 2015 (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Non-residential buildings increased due to the increase in rental of equipments by 0.55%, and the prices of raw materials by 0.05%. At the same time, Labor wages remained stable during May 2015 compared to previous month.
Decrease in the Construction Cost Index for Skeleton Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Skeleton buildings reached 98.93 with a decrease of 0.19% in the West Bank during May 2015 compared to April 2015 (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Skeleton buildings decreased due to the decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.31%, while rental of equipments increased by 0.49%. At the same time, Labor wages remained stable during May 2015 compared to previous month,
Increase in the Road Cost Index (RCI)
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 112.90 with an increase of 0.13% in the West Bank during May 2015 compared to April 2015 (base month December 2008=100).
The Road Cost Index for May 2015 increased due to the increase in Operating costs of equipment & maintenance by 1.21%, and the prices of raw materials by 0.20%, while rental of equipments slightly decreased by 0.02%. At the same time, Labor wages remained stable during May 2015 compared to previous month.
Increase in the Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI)
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 109.91 with an increase of 0.20% in the West Bank during May 2015 compared to April 2015 (base month January 2010=100).
Water Networks Cost Index reached 111.80 with an increase of 0.43%, Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 105.76 with a decrease of 0.34% during May 2015 compared to previous month.
Increase in the Sewage Networks Cost Index
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 107.40 with an increase of 0.26% in the West Bank during May 2015 compared to April 2015 (base month January 2010=100).
Note:
The data of the West Bank doesn’t cover those parts of Jerusalem which were annexed by Israel in 1967.

1. Gaza Strip data is not available.
2. The difference in the percentage change in major groups of road, construction, water networks, and sewage networks cost index is due to the nature compositions of these major groups.
