Increase in the CPI during April, 2016
The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine during April 2016 increased by 0.28% compared with March 2016 (by 1.35% in Gaza Strip, while it decreased by 0.56% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 0.26% in the West Bank**).
The CPI during April 2016 decreased by 0.28% compared with April 2015 (by 2.06% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 0.80% in the West Bank**, and with a slightly decreased by 0.01% in Gaza Strip).
The CPI during the first four months of 2016 increased by 0.40% compared with the same period of the previous year (by 0.83% in the West Bank**, while it decreased by 1.55% in Jerusalem J1*, and by 0.15% in Gaza Strip).
The change in (CPI) in Palestine for April 2016 is traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:
