Preliminary Results of the Palestinian Registered* External Trade
in Goods of March, 03/2016.
Exports:
Exports increased in March, 2016 by 11.7% compared to February, 2016. While it decreased by 1.4% compared to March, 2015 and reached USD 77.1 Million.
Exports to Israel increased in March, 2016 by 13.1% compared to February, 2016 and represented 89.7% of total exports in March, 2016.
At the same time, exports to other countries increased by 1.0% during the same period compared to February, 2016.
Imports:
Imports increased in March, 2016 by 7.0% compared to February, 2016. It also slightly increased by 0.9% compared to March, 2015 and reached USD 403.8 Million.
Imports from Israel decreased by 2.7% in March, 2016 compared to February, 2016 and represented 52.0% of total imports in March, 2016.
On the other hand, imports from other countries increased by 20.0% compared to February, 2016.
Net Trade Balance on Registered Goods:
The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports increased by 6.0% in March, 2016 compared to February, 2016. It also increased by 1.4% compared to March, 2015 and reached USD 326.7 Million.
