Preliminary Results of the Palestinian Registered* External Trade
in Goods of August, 08/2016.
Exports:
Exports increased in August, 2016 by 25.8% compared to July, 2016. It also slightly increased by 0.2% compared to August, 2015 and reached USD 84.3 Million.
Exports to Israel increased in August, 2016 by 24.6% compared to July, 2016 and represented 90.9% of total exports in August, 2016
At the same time, exports to other countries increased by 38.4% during the same period compared to July, 2016.
Imports:
Imports increased in August 2016 by 18.0% compared to July, 2016. It also increased by 3.8% compared to August, 2015 and reached USD 445.0 Million.
Imports from Israel increased by 14.7% in August 2016 compared to July, 2016 and represented 57.8% of total imports in August 2016.
At the same time, imports from other countries increased by 22.8% compared to July, 2016.
Net Trade Balance on Registered Goods:
The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed an increase in trade deficit by 16.3% in August 2016 compared to July, 2016. It also increased by 4.7% compared to August 2015 and reached USD 360.7 Million.
