Slight Increase in the Construction Cost Index for Residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Residential buildings reached 102.23 with a slight increase of 0.03% in the West Bank* during September compared with August 2016 (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Residential buildings slightly increased due to the increase in rental of equipment by 0.93%, and a slight increase in labor wages by 0.08%, while the prices of raw materials slightly decreased by 0.09% during September 2016 compared with the previous month.
Slight Increase in the Construction Cost Index for Non-residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Non-residential buildings reached 102.37 with a slight increase of 0.03% in the West Bank* during September compared with August 2016 (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Non-residential buildings slightly increased due to the increase in rental of equipment by 1.00%, and a slight increase in labor wages by 0.08%, while the prices of raw materials slightly decreased by 0.07% during September 2016 compared with the previous month.
Slight Increase in the Construction Cost Index for Skeleton Buildings
The Construction Cost Index for Skeleton buildings reached 99.50 with a slight increase of 0.05% in the West Bank* during September compared with August 2016 (base year 2013=100).
The Construction Cost Index for Skeleton buildings slightly increased due to the increase in rental of equipment by 0.89%, and labor wages by 0.39%, while the prices of raw materials decreased by 0.17% during September 2016 compared with the previous month.
Increase in the Road Cost Index (RCI)
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 107.02 with an increase of 0.54% in the West Bank* during September compared with August 2016 (base month December 2008=100).
The overall Road Cost Index increased due to the increase in operating costs of equipment & maintenance by 2.48%, the prices of raw materials by 0.62%, rental of equipment by 0.49%, as well as, labor wages slightly increased by 0.01% during September 2016 compared with the previous month.
Increase in the Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI)
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 110.25 with an increase of 0.22% in the West Bank* during September compared with August 2016 (base month January 2010=100).
Water Networks Cost Index reached 114.00 with an increase of 0.40%, while Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 102.00 with a decrease of 0.22% during September 2016 compared with the previous month.
Increase in the Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI)
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 108.22 with an increase of 0.81% in the West Bank* during September compared with August 2016 (base month January 2010=100).
Note:
* The data of West Bank doesn't include that part of Jerusalem which was annexed forcefully by Israel following its occupation of the West Bank in 1967.

1. Gaza Strip data is not available.
2. The difference in the percentage change in major groups of road, construction, water networks, and sewage networks cost index is due to the nature compositions of these major groups.
