Preliminary Results of the Palestinian Registered* External Trade
in Goods of October, 10/2016.
Exports:
Exports increased in October, 2016 by 4.6% compared to September, 2016. It also increased by 3.4% compared to October, 2015 and reached USD 78.9 Million.
Exports to Israel decreased in October, 2016 by 1.7% compared to September, 2016 and represented 83.5% of total exports in October, 2016
On the other hand, exports to other countries increased by 56.0% during the same period compared to September, 2016.
Imports:
Imports decreased in October, 2016 by 3.8% compared to September, 2016. It also decreased by 6.1% compared to October, 2015 and reached USD 399.5 Million.
Imports from Israel increased by 1.8% in October, 2016 compared to September, 2016 and represented 64.1% of total imports in October, 2016.
On the other hand, imports from other countries decreased by 12.4% compared to September, 2016.
Net Trade Balance on Registered Goods:
The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed a decrease in trade deficit by 5.7% in October, 2016 compared to September 2016. It also decreased by 8.2% compared to October, 2015 and reached USD 320.6 Million.
