Preliminary Results of the Palestinian Registered* External Trade
in Goods of December, 12/2016.
Exports:
Exports decreased in December, 2016 by 6% compared to November, 2016. While It increased by 9% compared to December, 2015 and reached around USD 85 Million.
Exports to Israel increased in December, 2016 by 1% compared to November, 2016 and represented 89% of total exports in December, 2016
On the other hand, exports to other countries decreased by 38% during the same period compared to November, 2016.
Imports:
Imports decreased in December, 2016 by 4% compared to November, 2016. While it increased by 10% compared to December, 2015 and reached around USD 457 Million.
Imports from Israel increased by 3% in December, 2016 compared to November, 2016 and represented 58% of total imports in December, 2016.
On the other hand, imports from other countries decreased by 13% compared to November, 2016.
Net Trade Balance on Registered Goods:
The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed a decrease in trade deficit by 4% in December, 2016 compared to November 2016. While it increased by 10% compared to December, 2015 and reached around USD 372 Million.
