Preliminary Results of the Palestinian Registered* External Trade
in Goods of January, 01/2017.
Exports:
Exports decreased in January, 2017 by 6% compared to December, 2016. While It increased by 27% compared to January, 2016 and reached around USD 79 Million.
Exports to Israel decreased in January, 2017 by 7% compared to December, 2016 and represented 88% of total exports in January, 2017.
On the other hand, exports to other countries increased by 2% during the same period compared to December, 2016.
Imports:
Imports decreased in January, 2017 by 8% compared to December, 2016. While it increased by 14% compared to January, 2016 and reached around USD 422 Million.
Imports from Israel decreased by 25% in January, 2017 compared to December, 2016 and represented 47% of total imports in January, 2017.
On the other hand, imports from other countries increased by 16% compared to December, 2016.
Net Trade Balance on Registered Goods:
The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed a decrease in trade deficit by 8% in January, 2017 compared to December 2016. While it increased by 11% compared to January, 2016 and reached around USD 343 Million.
