Decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Residential buildings reached 103.56 with a decrease of 0.15% in the West Bank* during April 2017 compared with March 2017 (base year 2013=100).
The CCI for Residential buildings decreased due to the decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.26%, while rental of equipment increased by 0.21%. At the same time, labour wages remained stable during April 2017 compared with the previous month.
Decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Non-residential Buildings
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Non-residential buildings reached 103.57 with a decrease of 0.17% in the West Bank* during April 2017 compared with March 2017 (base year 2013=100).
The CCI for Non-Residential buildings decreased due to the decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.27%, while rental of equipment increased by 0.11%. At the same time, labour wages remained stable during April 2017 compared with the previous month.
Decrease in the Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Skeleton Buildings
The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for Skeleton buildings reached 101.60 with a decrease of 0.21% in the West Bank* during April 2017 compared with March 2017 (base year 2013=100).
The CCI for Skeleton buildings decreased due to the decrease in the prices of raw materials by 0.34%, while rental of equipment increased by 0.14%. At the same time, labour wages remained stable during April 2017 compared with the previous month.
Decrease in the Road Cost Index (RCI)
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 106.90 with a decrease of 0.44% in the West Bank* during April 2017 compared with March 2017 (base month December 2008=100).
The overall RCI decreased due to the decrease in operating costs of equipment & maintenance by 1.26%, the prices of raw materials by 0.90%, while rental of equipment increased by 0.60%. At the same time, the labour wages remained stable during April 2017 compared with the previous month.
Decrease in the Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI)
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 111.09 with a decrease of 0.47% in the West Bank* during April 2017 compared with March 2017 (base month January 2010=100).
Water Networks Cost Index reached 114.46 with a decrease of 0.51%, and Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 103.68 with a decrease of 0.36% during April 2017 compared with the previous month.
Slight Increase in the Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI)
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 108.39 with a slight increase of 0.04% in the West Bank* during April 2017 compared with March 2017 (base month January 2010=100).

* The data of West Bank doesn't include that part of Jerusalem which was annexed forcefully by Israel following its occupation of the West Bank in 1967.

1. Gaza Strip data is not available.
2. The difference in the percentage change in major groups of road, construction, water networks, and sewage networks cost index is due to the nature compositions of these major groups.
