Decrease in the Consumer Price Index during May, 05/2017
The overall CPI for Palestine during May 2017 decreased by 0.84% compared with April 2017 (by 1.62% in Gaza Strip, by 0.50% in the West Bank**, and by 0.17% in Jerusalem J1*).
The changes in Palestinian CPI for May 2017 is traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The Palestinian CPI during May 2017 increased by 0.50% compared with May 2016 (by 3.45% in Jerusalem J1*, by 1.04% in the West Bank**, while it decreased by 0.38% in Gaza Strip).
The Palestinian CPI during the first five months of 2017 increased by 0.67% compared with the same period of the previous year (by 3.33% in Jerusalem J1*, by 0.96% in the West Bank**, and by 0.20% in Gaza Strip).
