Preliminary Results of the Palestinian Registered* External Trade
in Goods of April, 04/2017.
Exports:
Exports decreased in April, 2017 by 2.2% compared to March, 2017. While it increased by 6.0% compared to April, 2016 and reached USD 84.8 Million.
Exports to Israel decreased in April, 2017 by 5.0% compared to March, 2017 and represented 86.3% of total exports in April, 2017.
On the other hand, exports to other countries increased by 20.7% during the same period compared to March, 2017.
Imports:
Imports decreased in April, 2017 by 5.1% compared to March, 2017. While it slightly increased by 0.1% compared to April, 2016 and reached USD 405.5 Million.
Imports from Israel decreased by 11.2% in April, 2017 compared to March, 2017 and represented 58.7% of total imports in April, 2017.
On the other hand, imports from other countries increased by 5.0% compared to March, 2017.
Net Trade Balance on Registered Goods:
The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed a decrease in trade deficit by 5.9% in April, 2017 compared to March, 2017. It also decreased by 1.4% compared to April, 2016 and reached USD 320.7 Million.
