Preliminary Results of the Palestinian Registered* External Trade in Goods of June, 2017
Exports:
Exports decreased in June, 2017 by 15.3% compared to May, 2017. While it increased by 5.8% compared to June, 2016 and reached USD 82.2 Million.
Exports to Israel decreased in June, 2017 by 14.2% compared to May, 2017 and represented 91.4% of total exports in June, 2017.
At the same time, exports to other countries decreased by 24.5% during the same period compared to May, 2017.
Imports:
Imports decreased in June, 2017 by 12.0% compared to May, 2017. It also decreased by 4.2% compared to June, 2016 and reached USD 417.9 Million.
Imports from Israel decreased by 12.6% in June, 2017 compared to May, 2017 and represented 54.9% of total imports in June, 2017.
At the same time, imports from other countries decreased by 11.3% compared to May, 2017.
Net Trade Balance on Registered Goods:
The trade balance which represents the difference between exports and imports showed a decrease in trade deficit by 11.2% in June, 2017 compared to May, 2017. It also decreased by 6.3% compared to June, 2016 and reached USD 335.7 Million.
