Decrease in the Consumer Price Index during January, 01/2018
The overall CPI for Palestine during January 2018 decreased by 0.13% compared with December 2017 (by 0.27% in Jerusalem J1*, while it increased by 0.37% in Gaza Strip, and by 0.16% in the West Bank**).
The changes in Palestinian CPI for January 2018 is traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The Palestinian CPI during January 2018 decreased by 0.29% compared with January 2017 (by 0.88% in the West Bank**, while it increased by 0.30% in Gaza Strip, and by 0.14% in Jerusalem J1*).

*The data of Jerusalem J1 includes that part of Jerusalem governorate which was annexed forcefully by Israel following its occupation of the West Bank in 1967.
