The Union of Arab Statisticians Awards the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics "PCBS" the Medal of Arab Statistical Excellence, 2018

Ramallah, 09/07/2018 - The Union of Arab Statisticians awarded the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS),  the Medal of Arab Statistical Excellence, 2018
PCBS received the award during the Union of Arab Statisticians 6th International Scientific Conference that was held in Amman, Jordan, during the period 09 - 10/07/2018.

 H.E. Dr. Mary Kamel Kawar, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation/Jordan, and H.E. Prof. Mohammad Hamdan, President of the Union of Arab Statisticians, during the opening of the conference, handed the Medal of Arab Statistical Excellence to PCBS Delegation, Mr. Mahmoud Abd-Alrahman, Director General of Area Statistics and Mr. Raed Samarah, Director General of Fieldwork, on behalf of H.E. Ms. Ola Awad, President of PCBS.

It is noteworthy to mention that the said Medal is awarded in abidance to the decision of an Independent Committee, from outside the Union, which follows accredited scientific standards in checking and reviewing the qualifications of the applicants among of which PCBS that was selected to receive the award.
