Slight Decrease in the Producer Price[1] Index (PPI) during January,01/2019
The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) for Palestine with its base year (2018 = 100) reached 100.07 in January 2019, as it slightly decreased by 0.03% compared to December 2018.
PPI for local exported products
Producer Price Index for local exported products (2018 = 100) reached 100.51 in January 2019, which indicates a decrease of 0.17% compared to December 2018.
PPI for locally consumed products
Producer Price Index for locally consumed products (2018 = 100) reached 100.02 in January 2019, which indicates a slight decrease of 0.01% compared to December 2018.
The changes of PPI for January 2019 were traced back to changes in prices of the following major activities compared to the previous month:
