Consumer Price Index CPI Continued its Increase during February, 02/2022
as a result of the increase in the prices of vegetables, chicken and liquid fuels
The overall CPI for Palestine during February 2022 recorded an increase by 0.61% compared with January 2022 (0.77% in Gaza Strip, 0.69% in Jerusalem J1*, and 0.54% in the West Bank**).
The changes in Palestinian CPI for February 2022 were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure sub groups compared with previous month:

The Palestinian CPI during February 2022 increased by 2.97% compared with February 2021 (3.96% in Jerusalem J1*, 2.99% in Gaza Strip, and 2.77% in the West Bank**).

· Due to COVID-19 pandemic and inability to conduct face-to-face interview, data for Consumer Price Index has been collected using mobile phones, in all of the Palestinian Governorates’ interviews.
